The feast of Corpus Christi and St. Anthony

Image
The feast of Corpus Christi is more than a reminder that Jesus is indeed the Bread of Life . It is also a celebration of his generous hospitality. When he feeds the multitudes, we see his warm welcome to those who had come to hear him speak about God.(Matthew 15: 29 -37) They were drawn to him, attracted by his loving kindness. Their desire for what he had to give, the food of the spirit, was strong and he gave it to them in abundance. And yet, although he knew that they hungered for more than simple bread, he did not ignore their physical needs.  Source: fjcsisters.org Today is also the feast of St. Anthony. He is the patron saint of lost souls.  Therefore, let us dedicate today and pledge to cultivate a sense hospitality towards other especially in preparing for the next CHOICE weekend. We also seek the intercession of St. Anthony to bring back lost souls to Jesus.

Trinity - The desire for God

God always wants to be in union with us.  The question is... how much do we desire Him? Does our heart burn for Him or does it reject Him? Do we only want God when it is convenient and neglect Him at other times?

Getting to know our 99ners #8

Image
We take this opportunity to acquaint ourselves with CEKL 99 members by inviting them to share about their life's passions, God and Noah's tattoo 😜😜😂😂🐟🐟⛵⛵ 1) What are you passionate about? Passionate about progression and movement. Either in my faith, family life even dance and hiking.  2) When you think about God – what is the first thing that comes to mind? God is Ultra-Power-Super-All-Knowing-Yet-Gentle-Wise-And-Merciful 3) If  God suddenly appears before you today, what will you say to him? Here I Am Lord. Where to now and what's next? 4) If Noah went out and got a tattoo – what would it be and why? Rainbow Tattoo. As it helps people remember God's promise to Noah (never again send a flood to cover the whole earth). Rachel CEKL99

5 Ways to be Successful in Adoration

Image
Have you ever gone to adoration? Have you tried, but felt defeated like I first did, and occasionally still do? Here’s a list of 5 ways to be successful in adoration: 1. Be Patient I was recently talking with a group of friends about their experiences of adoration. A lot of them expressed the same frustration—that sometimes, time seems to stand still, 5 minutes seem eternal. Have you ever been out of shape and tried to go for a one mile run. Suddenly, 5 minutes into the run, you’re huffing and puffing and you realize you’ve only gone one block. Rather than focusing on the success — you just ran for the first time in months!! — we tend to focus on the defeat. Adoration can be a bit of a work out… for your soul. So set yourself up for success. If it’s been awhile, or your first time, 5 minutes of sitting with Jesus is a good goal. Slowly increase your time—you’ll be amazed at how God increases your capacity to be with Him! 2. Bring Scripture Reading scripture is always a good t...
