THE VISITATION
MARY SINGS OF THE LOVE OF GOD
"God is interested in even the smallest events in the lives of his creatures -- in your affairs and mine -- and he calls each of us by name. This certainty that the faith gives enables us to look at everything in a new light. And everything, while remaining exactly the same, becomes different, because it is an expression of God's love. Our life is turned into a continuous prayer, we find ourselves with good humor and a peace that never ends, and everything we do is an act of thanksgiving running through all our day. ‘My soul magnifies the Lord,' Mary sang, ‘and my spirit rejoices in God, my Savior.'" 37

Rosary Gathering
On 30th May 2017
Our Choice team had a rosary session together in conjunction with the Month of May and the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we prayed for the future well being of our families, country, peace and blessings and the grace to continue to serve God.
We saw some new members and welcomed the old ones back. Thank you all for coming!

MARY: THE CHANNEL OF GRACE
May 30
MARY: THE CHANNEL OF GRACE
"Her power before God is such that she can obtain anything that we ask for, and, like any mother, she wants to answer our prayers. Like any mother, also, she knows and understands our weaknesses. She encourages us and makes excuses for us. She makes the way easy for us, and even when we think there is no possible solution for our worry, she always has one ready to offer us." 36
Let us offer to our Mother today:
A visit or a conversation with a friend or relative whom we want to encourage to go to Confession.

MARY: THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN
"She lives now and is protecting us. She is there [in heaven], body and soul, with the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. She is the same person who was born in Palestine, who gave herself to God while still a child, who received the message from St. Gabriel the Archangel, who gave birth to our Savior, and who stood beside him at the foot of the Cross. In her, all ideals become a reality. But we should never think that this sublime greatness of hers makes her inaccessible to us. She is the one who is full of grace and the sum of all perfections . . . and she is also our Mother." 35

We take this opportunity to acquaint ourselves with CEKL 99 members by inviting them to share about their life's passions, God and Noah's tattoo ππππππ⛵⛵
1) What are you passionate about?
Travel. It is the only thing you buy that makes you richer π²π²πππ. It gives you a deeper perspective on life.
2) When you think about God – what is the first thing that comes to mind?
Love, pure and eternal love. None that this world can offer and fathom.
3) If God suddenly appears before you today, what will you say to him?
Thank you Lord for all that you've done for me. I hope that I would have fought the good fight, that I would have finished the race and that I would have kept the faith when I come home to you. I love you Jesus.
4) If Noah went out and got a tattoo – what would it be and why?
A dove with an olive leaf in the mouth because it's at that very moment where he realised that he could finally get some fresh air on land after living a year with a potpourri of animal poop πΎπΎon board. Pity the guy.

MARY: TAKEN UP TO HEAVEN
May 28
THE ASSUMPTION
MARY: TAKEN UP TO HEAVEN
"Mary has gone to heaven in both body and soul, and the angels rejoice. I can imagine, too, the delight of St. Joseph, her most chaste spouse, who awaited her in paradise. Yet what of us who remain on earth? Our faith tells us that here below, in our present life, we are pilgrims, wayfarers. Our lot is one of suffering, of sacrifices, and privations. Nonetheless, joy must mark the rhythm of our steps. ‘Serve the Lord with joy' -- there is no other way to serve him." 34
Let us offer to our Mother today:

MARY: MOTHER OF FAIR LOVE
"This is what explains Mary's life -- her love. A complete love, so complete that she forgets herself and is happy just to be there where God wants her, fulfilling with care what God wants her to do. That is why even her slightest action is never routine or vain but, rather, full of meaning. Mary, our Mother, is for us both an example and a way. In the ordinary circumstances in which God wants us to live, we have to try to be like her." 33

MARY: THE WAY TO JESUS
"Mary does the immense favor of bringing to the cross, of placing face to face with the example of the Son of God, those who come close to her and contemplate her life. It is in this confrontation that Christian life is decided. And here Mary intercedes for us so that our behavior may lead to a reconciliation of the younger brother -- you and me -- with the firstborn Son of the Father.
"Many conversions, many decisions to give oneself to the service of God have been preceded by an encounter with Mary. Our Lady has encouraged us to look for God, to desire to change, to lead a new life." 32

Why Do Catholics Pray the Rosary?

Praying the rosary has been a tradition in the Church for a long time. It’s a bit fuzzy who made it more formal; some say it was St. Dominic and others say it wasn’t. What really matters is that this prayer is super powerful.
Throughout Church history, many popes and saints have highly recommended that we pray the rosary. St. Louis de Montfort said, ‘When the Holy Rosary is said well, it gives Jesus and Mary more glory and is more meritorious than any other prayer.’
The rosary begins with the recitation of the Apostle’s Creed, an Our Father, three Hail Mary’s and a Glory Be. Then there are five decades which each begin and end with an Our Father and Glory Be, and have ten Hail Mary’s in between. When you pray the rosary, you meditate on the events in Jesus’ life. There are the joyful, luminous, sorrowful, and glorious mysteries.
In various apparitions, Mary has appeared holding a rosary and has asked that we continue to pray this prayer. She always leads us to her Son, and presents our needs before Him. Prayer is about developing our relationship with God, and loving Him more, so it makes sense to get to know Him through the events of the life of Christ that we meditate on during the rosary.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church says:
‘Meditation engages thought, imagination, emotion, and desire. This mobilization of faculties is necessary in order to deepen our convictions of faith, prompt the conversion of our heart, and strengthen our will to follow Christ. Christian prayer tries above all to meditate on the mysteries of Christ, as in lectio divina or the rosary. This form of prayerful reflection is of great value, but Christian prayer should go further to the knowledge of the love of the Lord Jesus, to union with him’ (CCC 2708).
Rosaries are not just decorations. Battles have been won because people prayed the rosary! There have been hearts converted, and impossible intentions answered too. Your life can only be blessed if you start praying the rosary.

Enduring Unjust Suffering
And if it is the will of God that you should suffer, it is better to suffer for doing right than for doing wrong.
First Peter 3:15-18
From today's 2nd reading
Enduring unjust suffering patiently shows God because it makes the suffering of Christ real to people. People can see that this is the way Jesus was.
When we suffer unjustly and patiently with our trust in God,
1) We are surrendering some very precious things (health, comfort, ease)
and so we show God's superior preciousness (1 Peter 2:7).
2) We surrender our claim to be protected and cared for on earth
and so we show God's superior shepherd care for us (1 Peter 2:25; 5:7).
3) We go without the glory of fighting back and winning;
and so we show God's superior glory and the justice of his throne (1 Peter 2:23; 4:13; 5:1, 4).
4) We take a tremendous risk with our life
—the only life most people believe we have to enjoy—
and so we show God's faithfulness and trustworthiness (1 Peter 4:19).
5) We throw way our one chance for happiness
by not fighting for more comforts here;
and so we show God's power to raise us from the dead as a faithful creator and one who has all dominion in the universe (1 Peter 4:19; 5:11).
6) We acknowledge that we are still sinners
and are not earning anything by this patience
and so we show God's great grace (1 Peter 5:10).
So when your time comes, keep these great words in mind from 1 Peter 5:10,
And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To him be the dominion for ever and ever.

Thoughts => Words & Actions
Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
-Romans 8:5
Our thoughts have a great impact on us. Our thoughts are what impact our words and actions. When your mind is not in a good place you can be hurtful in words and deeds. Yet often our mind gets burdened by anxiety, despair, and fear. If you notice the circular thoughts, stop them by changing the direction of your thoughts. Don't allow your mind to be dominated! Focus on ways you can show mercy to others or what you can say to respond with a gentle tone. Focus on things that please the Spirit.

100th anniversary of Our Lady Of Fatima and Mother's day
Today is the 100th anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. Let us consecrate this day to Her with prayer, penance and sacrifice and offer up all mothers who will be celebrating mother's day tomorrow.
Go through the links taken from https://www.romancatholicman.com/ to find our more above our lady of fatima
Why does 100 years matter?
How is this significant in our lives?
Mothers' important role
In Luke 7, Jesus observed a huge funeral procession in Nain. The entire town was present. He observed the young men and women weeping. He observed the pastors and apostles weeping. He observed the elders weeping. He observed the fathers weeping. He observed the children weeping. He observed the sadness on people's faces. Nothing seemed to move Him, until HE SAW THE MOTHER.
The bible says He had compassion when He saw her and immediately raised her boy from the dead. (Luke 7:12-15). It was the cry of a mother that moved the Heart of God. Still today, Mothers who cry before the Lord for their families, for their marriages, for their homes move the Heart of God.
When Mothers stop praying their families (especially their children) perish. Satan gets a foothold and starts to destroy the home, yet when they return to their rightful place as the anchor of the home, demonic strongholds get demolished. In Psalms 17, 36, 57, 63, and 91 God's role is likening to that of a Mother.
As a Mother protects, upholds and defends her children, so does God also protect us under the shadow of His Wings. We find refuge there and can hide there until the danger is over.
A mother's role is so vital that a father cannot get his prayers answered if he dishonours/ disrespects her (1 Peter 3:7). Because, of this favour over mothers, they are also the most attacked persons in the home.
The devil is terrified of Mothers (the powerhouse in the home). Yet the Lord has put inside Mothers grace and resilience to overcome any situation.
Today, As the woman of the home, consider yourself blessed. Consider yourself highly favoured and consider yourself dangerous when you pray.
I urge all mothers to pass this on to mothers you know! Be Blessed as you pass this message to mothers!

What does CHOICE mean to you? #18
Preparing for the CHOICE weekends is truly an amazing experience. In these series of post, we interviewed some of the members to share their encounters with CHOICE that inspired them to return and to serve subsequent weekends.
1. Issues you struggled with before Choice
I never used to go to church.
2. What is Choice to you?
Choice to me is more on self reflection and it changes our perception towards life.
3. How has Choice changed my life?
Choice has made me a better person today.
4. What is life like after Choice?
Life after choice is more amazing than I can imagine. It is more about family, love and support.
