My Journey through CHOICE KL 103

Image
Greetings, My journey to choice was something unique to me. I always wondered on why the other choicee's would tell us to not expect anything or don't anticipate what's going to happen. Thus i went with an open mind and open heart to accept the experience that was about to befall upon me.  Upon going through the entire ordeal I realized so many hidden cracks in my life. I realized everyone that comes here are just like me. Struggling to understand life's journey, as we all embraced Jesus and allow God to navigate our lives, we learn to live within our means and harden not our hearts to be open to the world. I am ever grateful to the everyone who had cross paths with me during this journey. It was one that has rejuvenated the spirit within me and allowed me to continue my devotion towards God and his people. Cheers  A.J CEKL103

Choice is about finding yourself and how you deal with the many relationships in your life, be it with God, parents, friends, colleague, etc. 2. How has choice change your life? Choice has taught me about relationships and how I should react or maintain them. At times, I took my relationships for granted. Issues in life you struggled with before choice. I was lost, didn't know where or what to don't... I didn't know whether what I was doing was for me or just to please others... I tried satisfying others more than looking into my own needs. I had lost my trust in God; felt God was letting me go through hell and while He was happily watching from up above. 2. What choice is to you? I got a new bunch of family/friends that I can count on. During the past few months, I've always had at least 1 friend who cares and prays for me. That's the essential part of life... family, friends & continuous prayers. I got one big package :D they made me realize many things which I  initially couldn't accept in the 1st place. 3. ...

Preparing for the CHOICE weekends is truly an amazing experience. In these series of post, we interviewed some of the members to share their encounters with CHOICE that inspired them to return and to serve subsequent weekends.    The CHOICE weekend experience, from what I have observed thus far, touches people in different ways and in many aspects of life. But for me, I feel that my experience comes after the weekend itself.   Before CHOICE I feel that I was a person that focuses too much on myself. My priorities were self-centered. I did not think with my working schedule I had the time to serve or to ‘layan’ others. I avoided engagements in Church, friends and family. Yes, I was initially every busy at the start of my career. However, even when it became more relaxed as I went up the ranks, the self-centered habits still stuck on. It was lonely, no doubt about it, and my friends were distant because I distanced them. I thought it was a necessary evil, bu...

It was hard to forgive the people who have hurt me and most importantly, it was hard to forgive myself for some decisions that I've made in the past. I also found it a struggle to accept things the way they are...people in particular. 2. What choice is to you? A time of surrender and affirmation of my faith to Christ. I learnt that above anyone and anything else...God has my back. That if He can forgive a sinner like me, then I am bound to forgive those who hurt me. It was also a reminder that no matter what always cling on to your Faith. 3. How has choice change your life? It has allowed me to be more accepting of people n situations...to be less judgemental ...
